What is the Stugeron tablet used for?
Stugeron Tablet is an antihistamine medication, primarily used for the treatment of nausea and vomiting due to travel sickness (motion sickness). Stugeron tablet is also used to treat the body’s balancing problem that can be caused by Meniere disease, ringing in the ears, vertigo (a spinning sensation or dizziness), and hearing loss.
Stugeron Tablet Ingredient
Active ingredient: Cinnarizine 25mg
Inactive ingredients: Cottonseed oil hydrogenated, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, polyvidone, sucrose, and talc.
How Stugeron Tablet Works
Stugeron tablet works by blocking the effects of histamine in your brain to reduce the symptoms of travel sickness (motion sickness).
Stugeron Tablet Dosage
- To Prevent Motion Sickness:
Adults and Children 12 years and older: Take 2 tablets 2 hours prior to your journey, then 1 tablet every 8 hours during travel.
Children aged 5 to 12 years: Take 1 tablet 2 hours before traveling, followed by ½ tablet every 8 hours during the journey.
- For Balance Issues:
Adults and Children 12 years and older: Take 2 tablets three times daily.
Children aged 5 to 12 years: Take 1 tablet three times a day.
How to use the Stugeron tablet
- Please adhere to the recommended dosage of Stugeron tablet as provided in the patient information leaflet.
- Consume the Stugeron tablets after a meal.
- You may choose to suck, chew, or swallow the Stugeron tablets whole with water.
- Stugeron tablet is not suitable for children under 5 years old.

Stugeron Tablet Precautions
- Do not take a Stugeron tablet if;
- You are allergic to cinnarizine or any of the other ingredients of Stugeron.
- If your child is under 5 years old, do not give Stugeron tablets.
- If you have Parkinson’s disease, do not take the Stugeron tablet
- If you suffer from liver or kidney problems and you have a blood problem called ‘porphyria’, do not take the Stugeron tablet
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
