Ovel Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria. Ovel Eye Drop is also effective in post-operative infections as prophylaxis and in the treatment of endophthalmitis.

How Does Ovel Eye Drop Work?
It contains Levofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antimicrobial that shows antibacterial activity by inhibiting bacterial topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) and topoisomerase IV, enzymes required for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination.
Ovel Eye Drop Dosage
Dosage & Administration:
1.5% Ophthalmic Solution:
– Days 1-3: Administer 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 30 minutes to 2 hours while awake, and approximately 4 and 6 hours after retiring.
– Day 4 through completion of treatment: Administer 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 1 to 4 hours while awake.
0.5% Ophthalmic Solution:
– Days 1-2: Administer 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 2 hours while awake, up to 8 times daily.
– Days 3-7: Administer 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 4 hours while awake, up to 4 times daily.
