What is cefalexin?

Cefalexin is a medication containing cephalexin, which belongs to a class of medicines known as cephalosporin antibiotics. Cefalexin is used in treating upper respiratory infections, skin infections, urinary tract infections, and ear infections caused by bacteria.

Side effects of cefalexin include:
