What is Adartrel used for?

Adartrel is a medication used in the treatment of moderate to severe Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), which is also known as Ekbom syndrome. People with restless legs syndrome have an irresistible urge to move their legs, and sometimes their arms and other parts of their bodies.

Ropinirole has some of the same effects as a chemical called dopamine, which occurs naturally in your body. Low levels of dopamine in the brain are associated with Parkinson’s disease.

How does Adartrel work?

Ropinirole is a non-ergoline D2/D3 dopamine agonist. It works by stimulating the striatal dopamine receptors in the brain.
