What is Flumox used for?

Flumox is a combination antibacterial medication used to treat and prevent bacterial infections in the throat, ear, nasal sinuses, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. It is a combination of two semi-synthetic penicillins – Amoxicillin and Flucloxacillin.

Is Flucloxacillin the same as penicillin?

Flucloxacillin is a combination medicine containing two types of penicillin – Amoxicillin and Flucloxacillin.

Is Flumox safe during pregnancy?

Flumox and Penicillins are generally safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, however, use with caution and only on the prescription of a medical doctor.

Flumox suspension

Flumox is available in 250mg and 500mg capsules,  and as syrup or suspension of 125 mg, 250 mg, or 500 mg in 5 ml.

Dosage
