Calcium chloride dosage
For treating hypocalcaemia or emergency treatments
- 500 – 1000 mg IV for adults over 5 – 10 minutes
- 75 – 519 mg IV for children
- < 75 mg IV in infants
For treating emergent arrhythmias:
- 500 – 1000 mg IV over 5 – 10 minutes for arrhythmias associated with hypocalcemia, hyperkalemia, or hypermagnesemia
For calcium channel blocker overdose
- 1 – 2 g IV infused over 10 – 20 minutes
For Beta-blocker overdose
- 1000mg Iv bolus via central line
