Sevikar Tablet Composition
Sevikar tablet contains two substances called olmesartan medoxomil and amlodipine.
How does the Sevikar tablet work?
Sevikar tablet contains both Olmesartan medoxomil and amlodipine which helps to control high blood pressure. Olmesartan medoxomil belongs to a group of medicines called “angiotensin-II receptor antagonists” which lower blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels while Amlodipine belongs to a group of substances called “calcium channel blockers”. It stops calcium from moving into the blood vessel wall which stops the blood vessels from tightening thereby also reducing the blood pressure.
Sevikar Tablet Dosage
Take one tablet of Sevikar once daily or take it exactly as prescribed by your physician.
How to take Sevikar tablet
- The recommended dose of Sevikar tablet is one tablet per day.
- Sevikar tablets can be taken with or without food.
- Swallow the tablets with some fluid (such as a glass of water). It should not be chewed.
- Do not take the tablet with grapefruit juice.
- If possible, take your daily Sevikar tablet dose at the same time each day, for example at breakfast time.
