The active substance in Paracetamol suppositories is paracetamol. The other ingredients include; are hard fat, macrogol cetostearyl ether, and glyceryl ricinoleate.

Paracetamol Suppositories Dosage

Paracetamol suppositories are for rectal use only
Children 1 – 3 years (10 – 15kg): Administer 1 Paracetamol Suppository every 4 to 6 hours, with a maximum of 4 x 125 mg suppositories in a 24-hour period.
Children 4 – 6 years (15 – 20kg): Administer 2 Paracetamol Suppositories every 4 to 6 hours, with a maximum of 4 x 125 mg suppositories in a 24-hour period.

How to use Paracetamol Suppository

Children:

Make sure your child’s bowels are empty before administering this medicine.
If they need to use the toilet, ensure they do so before inserting the suppository.
To ease administration, position your child lying on the front or side of a bed.
Begin by washing your hands thoroughly.
Peel apart the wrapping to retrieve the suppository, ensuring it remains intact.
Insert the suppository gently into your child’s rectum with the pointed end first.
For easier insertion, you can warm the suppository slightly between your hands beforehand.
Encourage your child to remain still for a minute or two, then wash your hands again.
If another suppository is needed, repeat the above steps.
