How does Alka-Seltzer Plus Day work in the body?

Alka-Seltzer Plus Day contains Acetaminophen, a pain reliever, and fever reducer, to alleviate discomfort and lower fever. It also includes Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, a cough suppressant that helps control persistent coughing. Additionally, it contains Guaifenesin, an expectorant that aids in loosening mucus for easier breathing, and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride, a nasal decongestant that relieves nasal and sinus congestion.

Alka-Seltzer Plus Day Dosage

Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
Take one dose of Alka-Seltzer Plus Day every 4 hours, ensuring not to exceed 6 packets within 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor.
Adults and children aged 12 and older: Dissolve the contents of one packet in 8 oz. of hot water. Sip slowly while hot and consume the entire drink within 10-15 minutes.
Children under 12 years: Alka-Seltzer Plus Day is not recommended for use.
