What is the Acefen tablet Used for?

Acefen is a pain-relieving medicine and it is used to reduce pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. Acefen may also be used to relieve muscle pain, back pain, toothache, or pain in the ear and throat.

Is Acefen Tablet an antibiotic?

It is not an antibiotic medicine and it helps to alleviate pain, inflammation, swelling, and fever.

Acefen Tablet Ingredient

It contains Ibuprofen and Paracetamol as the active ingredient

Acefen Tablet Dosage

Adults: Take one Acefen tablet every 6 hours. Do not take more than 3 Acefen tablets in 24 hours. It is not recommended to use Acefen tablet for more than 4 days on self-prescription.
Children: Acefen tablets should not be used in children below 12 years of age who weigh less than 40 kg.

How to use Acefen tablet

Swallow the Acefen tablet with a full glass of water.
Acefen tablet can be taken with or without meals but if you have a sensitive stomach, it is preferably taken with meals.

What Acefen Tablet is Indicated For

In the treatment of pain & swelling of joints (osteoarthritis & rheumatoid arthritis)
To relieve pain caused by migraine, headaches, backache, menstruation, dental conditions, and muscle sprain
To relieve post-operation pain surgical procedures and sports injuries
To relieve pain and swelling in the spinal cord and pain caused by throat and airway infections

Stomach pain
Diarrhea

Dizziness
Bloating
Constipation
Headache
Excessive sweating
Skin rashes & itching
Serious allergic reactions (in rare cases)

Is Acefen Tablet suitable for use in pregnancy?

Acefen tablets should not be used by pregnant women.

Can Acefen Tablet be used while Breastfeeding?

Acefen tablet passes in breast milk in low concentrations and may not be harmful to the breastfed baby. Acefen can be used for short durations and at the lowest possible dose if you are breastfeeding your baby.
