Prandin (repaglinide) is an antidiabetic drug that belongs to the class of medications referred to as meglitinide. It was first introduced in 1983. PRANDIN tablets contain repaglinide in doses of 0.5 mg, 1 mg, or 2 mg. In addition, each tablet contains the inactive ingredients mentioned below: Microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, polacrilin potassium, povidone, glycerol (85%), magnesium stearate, meglumine, and poloxamer.

Dosage
When should you take Prandin?
0.5 mg to 4 mg taken with meals is the recommended dosage range. In response to changes in the patient’s meal pattern, PRANDIN can be dosed preprandially 2, 3, or 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is recommended to be 16 mg.
Generally, Prandin does not have fixed dosage for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is best to follow the physician’s advice and recommendations.
