Carboplatin works by interfering with genetic material development in cells, thus preventing the cell from dividing, thus killing it in the process.

Dosage of carboplatin

Carboplatin is dosed based on the medical condition, body weight, and treatment response. The course is given once every four weeks by intravenous infusion over at least 15 minutes by a healthcare professional.

What are the side effects of carboplatin?

Side effects of carboplatin include:

· Stomach pain

· Body ache

· Diarrhea

· Weakness

· Vomiting

· Hair loss
