Galvus Met is a combination medicine used for the treatment of diabetes. Galvus is used to lower blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus either alone or in combination with certain other medicines.

How does Galvus Met work?
Galvus Met consists of both Metformin and Vildagliptin. Metformin is an anti-diabetic medication which works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines, and increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Vildagliptin on the other hand works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels.
