What is the RBCARE tablet Used For?

RBCARE is prescribed for various conditions related to excessive stomach acid production, including:

  • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): A chronic condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus, causing heartburn and potential damage.
  • Peptic Ulcers: Ulcers that form in the stomach lining or upper small intestine due to excessive acid or bacterial infection (H. pylori).
  • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: A rare condition in which tumors cause the stomach to produce too much acid.
  • Erosive Esophagitis: This is the Inflammation and damage to the esophagus caused by stomach acid.

RBCARE Tablet Ingredients

Each RBCARE tablet contains 20mg of Rebeprazole sodium as an active ingredient that blocks stomach acid production. Additional excipients include ingredients that help form the tablet and aid absorption but do not affect its therapeutic action.

RBCARE Mechanism of Action

Rebeprazole is part of the proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) class of drugs. It works by inhibiting the enzyme H+/K+ ATPase in the stomach lining, responsible for acid secretion. By blocking this enzyme, Rebeprazole reduces the production of gastric acid. This action helps to alleviate the discomfort caused by acid-related disorders and promotes the healing of ulcers and damaged tissue.

RBCARE Dosage

For adults, the standard dosage of RBCARE (Rebeprazole 20mg) is usually one tablet daily before a meal, preferably in the morning.

How to use RBCARE

However, the dosage may vary depending on the specific condition being treated.

  • For treatment of GERD: A 4 to 8-week RBCARE course may be prescribed.
  • For peptic ulcers: A 4 to 6-week treatment plan is common.
  • For Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: The dosage may be higher and vary based on individual needs.
