Victoza

Victoza Z-pak pen injector is the medication used alone or in combination with other medicines, a proper diet, and an exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes.

The active ingredient in Victoza is Liraglutide, which is similar to a natural hormone (incretin) produced in the body.

Liraglutide works by causing insulin to be released in response to higher blood sugar levels, and decreasing the amount of sugar your liver releases. If your condition requires insulin treatment, Liraglutide will not serve as a replacement.

Controlling blood sugar levels help reduce or eliminate the risk of blood sugar related kidney damage, nerve damage, limb loss, sexual function problems, and blindness.

What is Type 2 diabetes?

Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition where the body either does not produce enough insulin or resists insulin. Common symptoms of type 2 diabetes include increased thirst, frequent urination, hunger or blurred vision.

How do I use Victoza?

Your doctor or pharmacist or qualified health care professional would show you how this medication is used. Before you start using this medication make sure you read the medication guide provided with it.
